Free self-assessment · 3 minutes
Not sure whether your organization is leaking data or using AI without authorization?
That is what shadow AI means: people using artificial intelligence tools without the company's approval or oversight, sometimes with sensitive data. This free assessment tells you in about 3 minutes whether it is happening and how exposed your data is.
- A clear, straightforward result at the end.
- Your answers to the assessment never leave your browser.
- Concrete steps, starting with the ones that cost nothing.

What shadow AI is
It is the use of artificial intelligence tools at work outside the organization's view: an assistant open in the browser under a personal account, an extension that summarizes emails, or an app that transcribes meetings.
It almost always starts in good faith. People want to work faster and use whatever is at hand. The problem is not AI itself, but that nobody knows what information is being shared, with which service or under what terms.
Why it matters
Data leaves without a record
Contracts, customer data or internal figures can end up in external services whose terms of use nobody has reviewed.
Nobody sees the full picture
Without visibility, nobody knows which tools are used, with which accounts or with what information, and you cannot fix what you cannot see.
The rules still apply
Data protection laws and confidentiality agreements still apply when information is pasted into an AI chat.
A ban is rarely enough
When AI is banned and no alternative is offered, use tends to continue, just out of sight.
How this assessment works
Real situations
About ten common workplace scenes, one per screen. Choose the answer closest to what happens in your organization.
About 3 minutes
To begin, we ask for your name, email and job title. Your answers to the assessment never leave your browser.
A clear answer
At the end, we tell you how likely data leaks and inappropriate use of AI tools are in your organization.
Concrete steps
First what you can do at no cost, then the options available on the market.
Answer with what would actually happen in your organization, not what should happen. If you are not sure, choose “I don't know”: it counts too.
